I know you mean well, but could you please cancel this post based on the
post dating? Also, just link to the appropriate site for the information.

Absolutely no reason to ever top post. Every NG has trolls and fools who
like to do nothing more than try to stir things up. Best to just ignore
them as always. There are mechanisms in place to deal with this.

There is every reason to top post. I mostly do it to whiners and
complainers who think their way is the only way...pretty much like
Christians do.

Honestly, who made you the newsgroup cop?

Let the community police itself. These newsgroups don't need self-appointed
newsgroup cops beating their chests in an inflammatory manner when things
aren't to their liking.

Of course, today's the 19th, so it'll cycle on down the way tomorrow. The
problem is that we cannot cancel a post once it's sent. There's no way
possible to do it.

However, in future, if you don't want a "futuristic" post hanging around
until it finally cycles down, just highlight it and press your delete key.
It won't bother you any more, and the replies will go into their proper
places.

Uh oh! You done did it now! Haven't you ever learned that cat-herding is
virtually impossible? In fact, more impossible than that is herding a bunch
of human beans.
