With the veritable wealth of information you've given, my suggestion for a
"quick fix" is to press the start button, then select "shut down" and take
the dog for a looooong walk!

My pleasure. For my next trick I'm taking up mind reading so I can
determine what operating system and service pack your using. Then I'll
