If you are under 75 users...why in the world would you want to step back
to Windows 2000?

The license implications are that you need to be legal with Windows Cals
and Exchange cals. Your SBS cals will no longer work.

Yes it can be done... but why?

ntdsutil would be the command line tool you'd be using to migrate your
AD. This is not a trivial task keep in mind.

Raz,

If you are suggesting that an existing domain of 700 users running Windows
2000 is out there and you need your SBS domain to be part of it, this means
you either are needing to combing your domain into theirs with a Trust, or
more likely you need to abandon your existing SBS domain and start running
in there. The reality that you have is that you are not trying to combine
domains, you are trying to combine Forests, and that means you would be
building a split-forest trust with is really not a great idea in most cases.
In all probability, what you really need to do if use ADMT to move your SBS
domain accounts and computers into the other Forest, then format the SBS and
reconstruct it with standard Windows Server products for whatever services
your SBS needs to continue to use.
