Did you uninstall ActiveSync prior to upgrading to Vista? ActiveSync is not
designed to work on Vista.
So the only alternative I can think of is to try uninstalling ActiveSync
manually if the automated version does not work. See

similar.

I found out to use drvupdate-amd64.exe in vista to syncronice my
HP6510 with vista - outlook. My cpu is an amd triple cpu with a 64bit
Vista. The x86 version dosn´t work.So, i try this version to install
but at once i have got the mess: (sorry i´m german) translation:
"The appilication cannot be started, cause the side-by-side
configuration in invalid. More information in the application event-
log" There is only the information: event-ID 59.
I don´t know what to do?
