Hello micser,
Backup has changed within 2008 and is not longer the way as before with folder
and files backup. You can do only volume/disk backup's. Because of that the
tool is available to restore older with ntbackup created ones.
Normally also the permissions are backed up, so they should be restored even
to 2008. Make a test with some data.
