Greetings Alex,
That is correct, the Messenger and Hotmail contact store has actually been the same for quite
a few years (behind the scenes). Now they're fully exposing that capability.
There is no "synchronization" button because it is the same store and -should- be showing
exactly the same thing. How are you calculating these numbers out of curiosity? I ask
because you can have the same people in multiple groups (so a contact could be listed more
than once..).

Dear all,
I'm supposing MSN Messenger contacts are using the same one as inside hotmail contacts, am I
right?
If so, there is a problem of synchronization between them. The contact list on my MSN
Messenger have a total of 30 but the hotmail contacts only got 25.
Sometimes, when I add contacts in Hotmail, the MSN Messenger will got the new ones, but
sometimes not. If I add the contacts in MSN Messenger, usually the contacts cannot be updated
in the Hotmail's contact list.
How can I synchronize both of them?
I'm using Windows Live Messenger 8.0. Hotmail is Windows Live Mail. And I'm using Windows
Live Mail Desktop Beta also.
Thanks a lot.
Regards,
Alex AU
