Again, folks, if you're gonna make it all that great, then make it all that
great! Yesterday, we had a memory storage problem - not that much of it at
all. Today, with 500+ G HDD's and multiple ones at that, we don't. So if
you have to make it big, then just do it. Let the user decide if he/she
wants to bug the peripheral builders or just use what he/she has already
spent way too much of his/her hard-earned cash on - especially if it still
works just fine! How does a "trimable" OS sound? You are right, I am not a
programmer, all I am is a user who used to be able to use my `puter fairly
well. Now, I have to learn it all over again. And guess what? In two to
four years, I get to do this all over again - courtesy of the richest man in
the known universe!
Home computing is getting to be just like politics - the more you pay, the
less you get.
I guess its what you all call "Job Security"
