Thanks for the link, saves searching :-)

But it doesn't explain how Annie's message arrived on my computer, in my
Drafts folder.
I have never seen that message, my name isn't in the list.

Normally when there is a message in the Drafts folder, Windows Live Mail
will prompt me to send it when I close the program.
No such thing happened.

I have left the message sitting there for a few days, to see if WLM notices
there is an unsent message, nope, nothing.

I have run a full scan, which came up clean.

It's a mystery!
Thanks for responding.

But you do subscribe to that newsgroup?
And may have opened it sometime since the message would
have arrived in it? Then you wouldn't have to have read it,
just have accidentally opened it in a reply window and then
cautiously saved it when closing your WLMail windows.

BTW there is some mechanism in WLMail which I haven't yet
completely figured out, which involves a mouse gesture or
something which does that and annoys me each time it happens.
It seems to happen when I am trying to quickly mark new threads
Watched or Ignored (for sorting purposes).
I suspect it is usually the latter, e.g. doubleclicking on the
Watched Conversation column to try to mark a spam message
Ignored; then perversely it might open up as a reply! In fact,
it may happen only when the message is not downloaded,
e.g. if I'm doing it only on a header. I'll try to pay more attention
to how it happens and report back here if I figure it out.

You could get a prompt about a message in the Outbox
but not Drafts.

Good because it shouldn't happen. ; )

Normally you can't see a Drafts message's full source.
If you want to do that it is pretty easy, just use Forward
as Attachment and then drag the attachment to an open
Notepad window. E.g. doing that would probably show
you your name in its From: header. ; )
