WinXP SP3 does not natively require .NET Framework 3.0. One or more
applications that were previously installed may have required it.
In any event, you can download/install both of them manually from the
Download Center:
..NET Framework 3.0

..NET Framework 3.0 SP1

WMP 11 for WinXP (Validation required)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...668-5166114010
=> NB: To install WMP11 in WinXP MCE 2005, KB900325
(
http://support.microsoft.com/KB/900325) must be installed. See
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...aCenterEdition
=> NB: WinXP SP3 does not include KB900325. If you didn't install it before
you installed SP3, you may need to uninstall SP3 to be able to install it
and WMP11.
====================
Free unlimited installation and compatibility support is available for
Windows XP, but only for Service Pack 3 (SP3), until 14 Apr-09. Chat and
e-mail support is available only in the United States and Canada.
