This is preaching to choir.
The absolute worst, cardinal sin of Vista is that it is slower than XP on
every machine on nearly every meaningful performance measure.
The tweaks to the interface do not provide any improvement in usability and
requiring relearning of basic working patterns for no gain.
Technically Vista still uses the same pig slop mess of a registry and
requires/allows most programs to install a smorgasboard of dlls and their
ilk in the Windows folder instead of confining them to that particular
program's folder. This pig krud structure has not changed since Windows 3.x.
Just look at the absolute mess that is the Microsoft Net framework.

So you think the registry is that good?

When did you find out that Microsoft did not know how to design an OS?
That is totally obvious. Their GUI's are not bad.

Maybe they should build Windows on top of Linux. They could get a version
out fast and it would probably be better.
