And lose my money?
I don't think so Joseph Michael.

I wonder what Walmart is doing with all those Linux PCs they couldn't sell?

Look for them to appear at your local Sam's Club in the reject and damaged
goods bins.

Cork Soaker,

No, they are not putting them next to the Vista machines because the
Vista machines continue to be a best seller and remain on the store shelves
visible to all the shoppers, to the best of my knowledge. I don't really
know because I refuse to visit retail establishments that treat their
employees like sh_t, such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Lowes, McDonalds, Burger
King, Pizza Hut, etc, etc, etc. They pay their employees peanuts while the
taxpayers continue to support their health care and that of their children.
They also limit the work hours of their employees so that they don't qualify
for unemployment benefits, insurance and pensions.
They removed the mentioned Linux machines because nobody wanted them,
even at bargain basement prices.
Of course, Wal-Mart has plans to continue to sell the higher priced
Linux machines if they can unload them. Only time will tell if that is the
case.

I see you've never run a retail establishment.

As soon as you start paying more, the employee buys a motorcycle and moves
to California. Or starts using crack. Not all, of course. Space doesn't
permit listing all the abuses employees visit upon themselves when they have
the money.

There are some of us who know better what an employee needs than the
employee himself.

No joke. One local store takes the Vista returns, checks them out to make
sure it only software issues. Then they go to the discount table. Nice for
Linux.
