Since nobody else answered ...
1. Backup all the data.
2. either:
Use the system recovery disks that came with the PC
or
Use the (or a) Win2K disk to reinstall the OS.
3. Reload 'good' applications.
4. Restore the data.
This is known as reimaging (in the corporate world) or reloading. It's the
only sure way to get rid of all malware.
Works with all versions of Windows (and OSX, and Linux, etc.)
