For the umpteenth time now, I've been hijacked by windows into
rebooting my
machine with a priority over anything else I'm doing. Luckily this
time it gave
me a 4 minute countdown to save what I was doing. It had been put on
4 hour
postpone, but something else took priority, and it took off downhill
on it's
own.
Is it at all possible that windows 7 has improved on this with the
fact that
EVENTUALLY the machine will be shut down, and it can do it's updates
then ?
Instead of hijacking everything and trashing it ?
Who designs something without brakes ?
I could only imagine if I were Carrie writing my weekly sex & the
city column
when the machine decides it has to shut down and reboot.
And her with no backup drives.
Reconfigure all automatic updates.
