Are you using the Windows XP firewall? If so, have you checked the settings
(permissions)? If you have another firewall, try disabling Windows firewall
and see if the issue is resolved.

I am having the same problem. After updating SP2 on XP, I have no internet
connection. I have disabled the firewall. No help. When I check the status
of my LAN network connection. It tells me that there is a problem. I can
send information, but I cannot receive any info. I have tried to repair the
connection problem, but it won't work. When I uninstall SP2, everything
works again. I have tried this twice. Any suggestions?
