First, crcdisk.sys is the last item echoed on the command line during a
safe-mode startup, and there are a lot of invisible events happening
afterwards, so there is always a long pause after that line becomes
visible. You could have hung up (and almost certainly did) a pretty long
time after seeing crcdisk.

It might be possible to restore the system to a single disk (or use the
single disk version if it still exists), install or set up the RAID drivers
there, back up that system, and then restore to two disks with Macrium.

As I recall it, you also can set up RAID drivers during a Windows
installation, but that's no help in your case. Or maybe it is -- perhaps
you can use the windows installation DVD for a repair installation to the
restored RAID setup, and add the RAID drivers then.

I'm retired and I often have time to fool around like that to solve a
problem, so my advice may not be quite what you want :-)

once you have downloaded the right drivers you will need to put them on a floppy disk

then reboot and hit f6
a prompt should show up asking for the location of the driver

once located it should take only a few seconds for it to load

you should be done now

good luck and take care
