Having played with Windows constantly for decades, comparing
Microsoft's efforts to programmers who do not even get paid,
drives home the realization that Microsoft could not care less
about high technology.
Microsoft buying Nuance would be a good thing, but Microsoft
should have done that a decade ago. Speech input is no different
than keyboard input, and keyboard/speech/whatever input is a
fundamental part of the operating system (a fact realized by
people who cannot use a keyboard, and strangely that relatively
simple fact is denied by some people who are supposed to be
information technology professionals).
