Regrettably, no. My FW, ZoneAlarm, is configured to ask (and always does)
when a changed program wants to access the internet. Just to be certain ZA
wasn't the problem, I gave Outlook.exe full permission to do anything, and I
still got error msgs like this one:
"Task 'Yahoo - Receiving' reported error (0x80040900) : 'The server name you
entered can not be found on the network (it might be down temporarily).
Please verify that you are online and that the server name is correct.'"
When I try to play with the email account configuration from inside Outlook,
I get a somewhat different error msg to the effect that the server was found
but no response was received from it........
