Well, if they're Not Applicable, then they're Not Applicable, and no amount
of wishful thinking or creative effort is going to make the WUAgent attempt
to install an update that is Not Applicable.

First question would be: Have you read the KB articles for these updates and
confirmed that the update *should* be applicable to your systems?
KB970437 - MS09-018 -- a security update for Active Directory Application
Mode. Are these XP systems part of an ADAM implementation? If so, have you
confirmed that KB970437 is not installed on these systems?
KB970483 - MS09-020 -- a security update for IIS. Do these XP systems have
IIS installed? If so, have you confirmed that KB970483 is not installed on
these systems.
