Pull the plug.

Seriusly, there are no end of possible problems you may have. Only by being
far, far more specific can you get any help. Computer model, Windows version,
everything that happens.

Do you have a good and current anti-virus running? Is your Windows up to
date (Run Windows Update from the Start menu).
