From your post, I've read that you've taken the most serious o
remedies, which is a reinstall of Vista

Just to be sure, was this a fresh install of Vista on a recentl
formatted hard drive

If it was, and this problem persists, then it must be related to you
hardware somehow

After the fresh install, check your device manager and see if any o
your devices are flagged

Also, you'll want to be sure you have the latest drivers for you
hardware (get these from the makers of the hardware)

There has to be some system conflict that exists if you hav
reinstalled Vista, and unlikely as it seems, some hardware may hav
become problematic

Examine your hardware and see what you can find
