Re: Premium wont reconize external burners as burners.

Tested 2 different burning drives,

one is a external LiteOn drive,
and the other is also a external Samsung drive.
Both are designed for both + and - disks.

Symptoms :

LiteOn : Drive on reconize empty disks, wont burn to empty disks,
BUT it does howewer reconize wither they are RW or R

Samsung : Wont read rewrite disks, and wont reconize empty disks
as inserted into drive. and further more wont burn either.

Now this is just a WinV issue, cause they both run smoothly on the old
Xp lausy system. And still does.

Ideas on how to get them working on Vista ?

Have you ugraded the drivers to ones that are Vista compatible, if not, that
is what needs to be done.

Do you have demon tools or some virtual cd installed?
Had same problem with DT installed. I would uninstall it if I needed to
burn. Then I bought a eide burnner and both work now but the Sata burnner
will not work with DT.
