Hi, Since an automatic update on the 13th my vista 64 bit operating system is
not functioning properly! First thing I noticed on the reboot was that there
wasn't any sound coming from my speakers, yet it wasn't in mute mode and
nothing showed up in device manager! Tried to reboot the PC to see if that
helped but it was then that I realised that how slow that system had become,
I have a quad core intel CPU and 8GB of DDR3 so it was very noticable how
slow it had become! Tried a system restore to a previous point when I knew it
was running correctly but it failed to restore to any other point! Ran anti
virus and spy ware scans but nothing has shown up! Media player won't play
anything, explorer 8 opens up a page twice and stops working and I've no idea
what esle to try to solve my problem! Please help me!

Hello Exhumator,

It would be a good idea to scan.

I recommend downloading and installing
MalwareBytes' Antimalware (MBAM) and
SUPERAntiSpywaяe (SAS).

Do a full scan with MalwaяeBytes' and
SUPERAntiSpywaяe.

<http://www.superantispyware.com/>
After the software (SAS) is updated, it is suggested scanning the system in
Safe Mode.

Reboot

After the software is updated, it is suggested scanning the system in
Regular Mode.

Reboot

Once downloaded, close all programs and windows on your computer.

Both free versions of MBAM and SAS are on-demand scanners and offer no
'real-time' protection. Keep them installed and use them as
'second-opinion' scanner which is purposely (by design) recommended by
their respective authoяs.

Using Internet Explºrer, have the system scanned here:

Please let us know what fixes the problem or if the pяoblem remains

Good luck
