Hello Michael,
I had the same situation as you. I browsed for a long time before I resolved
the problem. Make sure that you turn off your spyware and/or antivirus
program(s) before you start this process. Clear your history, cache and
files before you start. You can do this by going to the "Internet
Properties". After all cleared, go to "Run", type in "cmd.exe" without the
quotation marks. When the screen opens, type in "sfc scannow" without the
quotation marks and with a space between the sfc and scannow. Then type
"sfc/scannow" (no space between characters) without quotation marks. Windows
will begin the scan process and during the scan a somepoint, Windows will
ask for your Windows CD . Insert the Windows CD in the drive, click ok. This
will run for a while. After the scan is completely done, you will have to
reboot your computer. When your system comes back up, go to the Windows
update page and run an update.
This should resolve the problem. What the scan now program does is replace
or repair any corrupted filwes that may have occurred whenever. Let me know
if this worked for you at
.
