Hi Bob, Tf you did at one time install Spybot search and destroy.. and you
say you removed it.. did you also go into the regedit and remove all
instances of spybot from the registery? Because here is the thing with
spybot.. If you downloaded the free version, let me tell you this. when you
uninstall it from remove programs.. it does not remove it totally from your
machine.. you must use the regedit to do this also.. also a rule of thumb
that you and everyone should realise.. no matter what when a pop up pops up
and tells you your system has serious problems or spyware has been detected ,
download this to fix problems with your system.. Don't! There is no such
thing as free. All these so called programs actually install viruses and
spyware to your system as well as tracking cookies.. Best use a program like
windows live care or some other reputable anti virus dection program.. I
myself use Windows live care and windows defender.. You can download the 90
day trial version of live care from Microsoft. after the 90 days for a few
bucks you can purchase it from Microsoft products.. Windows Defender is
totally free. I use Vista Ultimate with nothing but Microsoft products and
use ATI 9600 XT 500ddr video card with ATI 650 Theater Pro hd tuner card,
Pentium 4, 3.06 Hypertheading, 533 mhgtz Northwood processor with 3 gig of
DDR ram.
