Greetings,
As you've probably noticed, you can put a SOCKS proxy in but beyond that, it grabs the proxy
settings from IE (although you could put those in the registry manually if you wanted to; all
depends how they're doing it).
You could also use a web client like
http://webmessenger.msn.com or several of the third
party web clients to get around this too.
