You would have to connect the RCA output jacks of the DMA2100 to an
amplifier/reciever or a set of amplified speakers. The RCA jacks are not
intended to drive speakers and cannot output enough wattage to do so.
Secondly, you cannot select the tracks to play on the computer, although if
you memorize the menus for the extender you could probably set it to play
randomly or use a playlist by using the remote and your memory of the menus.
If you had the DMA2200 it has an LCD on the front panel of the device that
tells you where you are in the menu system and that would have made it
easier for you! I have both devices and much prefer the DMA2200 for this and
other reasons.

You *could* play any media that the extender can play, but again, with the
DMA2100 you have no way of knowing where you are in the menu system.
