Not sure about 2001, but 2011 automatically rebuilds the Quick View search
results every 6th opening.
That article was written primarily for WLM 2008, but since a few found that
it worked in the earlier version of 2009, I left it intact.
While the same registry value can be deleted in 2011, in 5 private 2011
betas and this latest RTW version I've yet to find a need to do that, thus
my safe suggestion is let WLM do it on its own.. any error in Quick Views
is more likely due to the main message index or message..thus it might be
better to first attempt a compact(by setting the counter to 1 on the
Advanced/Maintenance tab).
I also see you found the migrated blog url too..(that's good to know <g>),
and thanks for using it.
Live Spaces will close in March 2011 unless one migrates to Word Press.
I'm glad that the same 'liveunplugged' name was available....though I
created that on Word Press quite some time ago before permitting the
migration.
Fyi...those old urls to spaces.live.com should redirect to Word Press even
after March 2011.

I'm using 2009 and Quick View has frequently had spells of flakiness for
me,
so much so, that I abandoned it and have settled for the individual account
inboxes. There's a registry tweak that can reset quick view for 2009, I'm
thinking it may help you w/2011.

This is Winston's link, so perhaps he can relate it to 2001 better than I.
