Re: recovery and boot disc.;

Hey there.
I am a novice at this stuff.My husband talked me into a new computer with
vista on it.After a couple of weeks he said you need to make a boot disc.Now
reading all i can it seems i may have been prompted to do this when setting
up OK i missed it (if it did).I have found sites that tell you how and
followed there steps but about the 4th step my computer has other ideas and
the option they suggest dosen't exist on here.Or they say you can do it but
you will need original disc, which of course was not provided by
manufacturer.HELP!!!!!!!!! and do i need both a recovery disc and boot
disc?

The Recovery files will be on a "hidden" partition on your hard drive. There
will be a program in your program menu to tell you how to make the DVD.

It varies from manufactrurer to manufacturer.

Your best bet is to ring your computer manfacturer, and ask them how to make
the recovery DVD.
Also, some OEMs will supply a disk for a nominal charge; ASK them!
