I hope you're feeling better now. Irregardless
[
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=irregardless] of your rant, follow
these three (3) simple caveats and all should be fine from now on:
- Don't use Inbox or Sent Items to archive messages. Move them to local
folders created for this purpose.
- Disable Background Compacting* and frequently perform a manual compact of
all OE folders while "working offline". More at
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/files/maintain.htm.
- Your anti-virus application's email scanning feature can also cause such
corruption. Disable it. It provides no additional protection.
*While 'Compact Messages in the Background' is no longer present in OE6-SP2,
you will be prompted to run a manual compact if you've not compacted before
closing OE the last one hundred (100) times. If I were you, I'd not wait
that long.
