Pete,

RMS relies -heavily- on IIS. In fact, RMS is not supported when installed
on anything but a dedicated server. Now, that's not to say that ActiveSync
and RMS can not co-exist, just that you will be running an unsupported
configuration.

I would recommend breaking RMS off from your Exchange / ActiveSync
implementation and setting it up on its own.

If you absolutely must co-locate both components, I would investigate IIS as
that is the most likely cause of your problems. RMS's use of certificates
should not interfere with your existing setup as RMS uses a different format
for certificates from IIS/Exchange/traditional PKI.

Good luck.

Hi Pete,

Hey, that's great news! I'm glad to hear you are up and running!

Also, thanks very much for taking the time to post the solution.

Would WRMS be a good candidate for virtualisation (VMware or MSVS)
rather than giving it a dedicated server?
