If you open Sync Center and click "View Sync Results," is there any useful
information there? What happens if you delete that reg key you created to
change the location? Does it work caching to the default location?
All the documentation I found on changing the location relates to Vista
(you're not using XP docs, right?), and I'm not sure the procedure is the
same for Win7, although I'd assume it is. I have not had any sync problems
at all with Vista, or with Win7 in limited testing - I'm wondering about the
location since that seems to be the only thing you've changed from the
default. When you created the reg key, you did that thing with the \??\,
right?
