We had similar, and deleting the address book from the users' local
folders and then "send receive all" worked.

Hmm..that didn't work..

Deleted the profile and made it again configuring manually, that doesn't
work either..

Why is this only not working in Outlook 2007 ?

Why are Outlook 2003 and more curiously Outlok 2010 working OK ?

All were configured manually.

I just want to turn off Autodiscover in Outlook 2007, what is it actually
doing for me ?

OK a step closer now..

If I put a hosts entry for autodiscover.externalfqdn.co.uk in the hosts file
on the PC I now get a certificate pop up warning which If I agree to seems
to work OK.

Now just need to somehow stop the certificate popups perhaps ?

You checked to make sure you have all patches/rollups for
SBS/exchange/outlook?

If still stuck, you may want to try reposting to www.sbsforum.info as most
of the MVP's and MS support are there now.
