FWIW in XP that would be done by sendmail.dll and it could be re-registered
as a fix for this symptom.

Does Vista still have that module? It is re-registerable?

What happens if you change your default E-mail program (as a test)
to Windows Mail? Does the problem symptom still occur then?

I am having a similar problem. It worked fine until recently. I am guessing
it stopped working when I un-installed the beta of Office 2007 and installed
the final version of Office Home and Student. Windows Mail is and has always
been the default e-mail program. Outlook is no longer even installed. The
option to send page via e-mail is greyed out......can't be selected. I tried
re-registering sendmail.dll, but it says it can't find the file or that it
and related dlls need to be de-bugged. How do you do that?

Fixed mine at least. Minutes after posting I went to "default programs" on
the start menu and found Windows Mail was not set as the default there, even
though it said it was under Options in Win Mail. I re-set it and now it works.

When I change the default to Windows Mail the link works. When I change it
back, the link doesn't work.

I have also noticed that if I go to a website and click a contact us link,
it will launch Outlook 2007. I can then click the send page by email link and
it works. If the browser is closed and restarted, the send page by email link
stops working again.
