Greetings,
Oddly enough I'm not 100% sure what you're referring to if you're not logged in. But, you
can turn off Sharing Folders all together by opening up the main Messenger window, choosing
the Tools menu, then Options, then Sharing Folders and triggering the option at the top.
Note that you'll need to be signed in for this to be accessible.
