Confirmed here too. All links from Messenger including the 'mail received'
popup only go to the MSN main page. One can make it to Hotmail via web
links in subsequent pages (like MSN), but what a pain for this to not be
fixed for several weeks, and that we haven't been given a site to report
this and other problems. Perhaps the term 'beta' should be done away with
as most untechnical folk think it just means 'free'.
Last night (19th) I got a prompt to update Live Messenger, and proceeded to
let it attempt to download and update, tried three times, then went to bed.
Since then, it can't sign into Messenger and any attempt pops back with a
dialog that doesn't pop out in front of whatever you're doing - you have to
navigate to it to see what it is: Error 80002004 - not responding.
What's up with that?
