I have waityed to see if more replies would come from the windows BBS. I
tried several times to restore, but each time the notification stated
something like: could not be restored to specified date. Since the Last
reply from the Windows BBS, I have done nothing else since I have no
clue as to how all works. It is like my car, I can drive it, but do not
know anything about how it works
ps. I am not sure if it was that update

Since your restore points have apparently failed or become corrupt have you
scanned your PC for malaware?
