Now that they have conned people into not only testing Vista but paying
for the privilege, they might be able to make a good Vista OS with
Windows 7 but I wouldn't bet on it.

FUDDING again, eh? The last version of Ubuntu had a server overload so
many people (millions) were downloading it. Some have closed, MS Fanboy
minds like you and, after two minutes of it being installed, wipe the HD
clean and install Windows. Open minds really check it out and don't have
fantasies about geeks who can't get laid.
