Everything will merge - you'll get info from both onto your Pocket PC,
and all the info from your Pocket PC will appear on both computers.
Just be sure to sync with the computer you want to sync with the Inbox
first (if you want Inbox sync - you can only sync the Inbox with one
computer, and that one computer is the first one you create a
partnershp with).

I am looking for more details on syncing my PDA with two PCs. Something
that describes the expected behavior, and would provide answers to
questions like:

1. Create item A on PC1 and sync.
2. Sync to PC2.
3. Delete item A on PC2.
4. Sync to PC2. (Is A deleted from the device?)
5. Sync to PC1. (Is A deleted from PC1?)

If this information available somewhere?

Thanks,

Frank

In the above case, item A is deleted from both, and any possible
conflicts (ie you change it on one, but delete it on another) is
presented to you for conflict resolution. ActiveSync keeps track of
what was synchronized, and therefore can tell what has changed.

Thanks Rob.

But I really wanted to know if there was a technical document for
ActiveSync and the default service providers (like for Outlook Contacts)
that describe, in detail, the expected behavior.

Then, I could use the technical document to answer a question like:

If I embed a sound file in a Contact note in Outlook and sync the
Contact to the handheld device, can I play the sound file on the device?

I do not know if this is supposed to work, or not.

Thanks,

Frank

As far as I know, there isn't a document around. However, I can tell
you for your example that notes for contacts cannot contain embedded
files (sounds or otherwise) and still have them show up on the Pocket
PC.
