I think you're approaching this the wrong way. Forget the PPC for a bit -
it's a red herring. You've got Exchange, and clearly it's at least Exchange
2003 SP2. Hence you could set up a mail profile in Outlook 2003 / 2007 on
your home PC (XP or Vista) to access the mailbox directly using RPC over
HTTP (aka Outlook Anywhere). Talk to your IT people in the office. This is
pretty simple to do from a technical standpoint. Whether it's in keeping
with company policy is another.
