Don't be too hard on the Chinese guy.

He works for 1/50 th of the salary of the average American. If he gets out
of line he gets tortured using electric batons. If he grumbles about his
work conditions then he gets shipped off to a Stalinist-style
'rehabilitation camp' for retraining, often never to be seen again.


A few thoughts for defeating the Chinese in a global economy ....

1) American workers being willing en masse to work for Chinese-level wages.

Unfortunately this ain't gonna happen. Your average clinically-obese
hamburger-guzzling Yank wouldn't be able take the shock.


2) Nuke the Cbinese.

Not likely to work, since they're also capable of nuking you back.


3) Bring back good old-fashioned protectionism, which is really love of
one's own country and patriotism under a different name, despite media lies
to the contrary.

Unfortunately this option generally leads to artificial wars fought on the
idle whims of corrupt leaders.


Nope, there must be a better way ....

This is true, but it ain't gonna happen. The US is a major trading
**partner** for China. To kill off the US would be like killing the goose
that lays the golden egg; not in their interests.
