Oh boy. A comm port is a communications port, which most folks call serial
ports. For BT implementations like this, the BT receiver looks like a
serial port to the computer. Depending on your BT stuff, there are
different ways to find out what port # it thinks it is. Normally if there
is a BT icon in the system tray (with the clock, etc) double clicking it
should bring up a BT configuration menu. You will be looking for serial
profile stuff. It may have a serial port already set up, or it may have an
option to create one.
If there isn't anything in the tray, there should be something in the
control panel. If that doesn't get you going, post back with the BT USB
Model, and if you are using XP SP2, and I'm sure someone can walk you
through.
