Whilst I appreciate people sharing their own mishaps on Vista, I
personally have been running Vista SP1 64-bit on my machine for over a
year, and it is as stable as anything I have ever tried... quite a
pleasure to work on in fact.
A merit to this could be the fact that my hardware is actually
powerful enough to run Vista in the first place, yet on the correct
hardware, Vista is great.
The only causes of instability that I've had on Vista were all due to
3rd party applications and drivers... so let us make sure that we are
pointing the blame in the right direction here.
For the record, I am also a Mac User.
