This moron "kevpan815" keeps pushing Win7RC to everyone even though it
EXPIRES next year. (June 1) There is NO reason to "ditch" Vista right
now, just to have Win7RC quit on you later!. Furthermore, Win7RC cannot
be used to "Upgrade" Vista right now anyway which he fails to mention,
without jumping through technical hoops most people would know nothing
about and Microsoft advises not to do it anyway. I am testing Win7RC
right now, and I DO like it better than Vista for several reasons, but
I'm not about to trash my Vista Ultimate installation over it! Sheesh,
that guy is impossible! Can't get it through his pea-brain that most
people need nothing to do with Win7RC right now, unless they are
venturous and want to test it out on a different machine, (test
machine), or as in my case a different hard drive. (NOT dual booting)
I installed Vista SP2 from the update convention with NO trouble at all,
and things are running great. That's not to say others won't have
problems, but I'm happy. It's most likely NOT a problem with the SP2 the
guy is having but some sort of incompatibility whether it be a driver or
whatever. SP's pretty much have been a go-no-go problem forever. One
needs to read MS recommendations for installation and heed the
recommendations BEFORE installation. ..When a problem still comes up,
find and read the fix or workaround, and deal. ..Rather than whine, cry,
b****, and moan.
