Until your accountant demands Quicken files.
Until you decide to get into online stock trading.
Until your kid comes home from school with programs you can't run.
Until your job hands you some CBT trainining DVD's that you can't run.
Until you wish to look at the Olympics videos.
Until you wish to view BBC multimedia content.
Until you try to upload maps/trips etc to your GPS.
Until you decide to purchase something from the iTunes store.
Until you decide to upgrade firmware on various PDA/Cell/GPS/iPod devices.
Until you decide you want some real games other than Quake.
Until you decide to try MagicJack to save on phone bills
Until.......

Would you like me to continue?

Like you said " I will probably never use a Microsoft OS again"...

Sure....
Many more like you have said the same thing.
A week later they are back to Windows or Mac.

Does he want my business?

Can't be done with Linux? You sure?

Time to complain to the school board.

I guess they'll have to buy a Windows machine... or at least a Windows
license.

USA Channel.

I don't live in the UK, so I don't deal with the player.

Haven't tried my Palm TX, which is also my media player. My wireless
router is up to date, finally.

There are real games that run on Liux systems, other that Quake.

There are a FEW webcasts I've run into that require IE Explorer ( I'm
a print guy anyway)

As for Garmin, I'm a map & Compass guy; - No Batteries. - Ever get
stuck out in the woods on a cold day, realize your lost and BINGO !!
GPS and Cell Phone are both Dead ( Cold )
- You're screwed..

- DVD's- got a player on my TV; & , if it doesn't run,
I can borrow a lap top from work.

- and, most apps will handle comma separated files just fine.

Ubuntu has ( in a three month time period ) done it all !

Unless Microsoft comes through with a Killer app

- Goodby Mister Softee !

It has nothing to do with IE.
Please do your research.....

Yawwn...
Linux sounds perfect for you....
Does your compass also inform you of traffic delays, construction delays,
the shortest route based upon the above, calculate alternate routes.....I
could go on for hours...

BTW all professional hikers carry GPS devices.
Maritime enthusiasts carry iperbs...

Try updating their firmware with Linux and see how far you get....

I'll bet you still have a Beta VCR and an 8 Track Player as well...

Geek...

I'm talking about the software that runs on your own local PC that allows
you to trade.

> Ubuntu has ( in a three month time period ) done it all !

Your expectation level is real low.
Like most Linux users.

We had one guy here in COLA telling us how great Amarok was for his mp3
collection.
Then we learned he had like 100 files...
Yea real tough task that was...

> Unless Microsoft comes through with a Killer app

Try Office.
Photoshop.
Protools
Nuendo.
Quicken
Dreamweaver.

Would you like me to continue?

> - Goodby Mister Softee !

God, I'm starting to think Peter Kohlmann is right.
These Windows---Linux converts(really Windows users) users are total
morons!!

The COLA gang look like geniuses compared to the likes of this tribe.

Can it do what I posted below????

Nope....

And you have no reply which is why you changed the subject and didn't add
one letter.

You really aren't a very good troll....
