That's a typical response from OEM tech support, and almost never
necessary. What software have you loaded or what has changed since the
last time it worked? What updates have you loaded from MS. Do any of
them coincide with your remote malfunction.

You say this wouldn't be the first time you've reloaded the OS. What
were the issues that caused you to take that action. Was it the OEM's
tech support that told you to do it?

Was Vista Ultimate preloaded or was it an upgrade?
