I assume you mean that you are running Windows XP, with Office XP SP3.
Open any Office application, pull down the Help menu, and select "Detect and
Repair": it might need the installation CD. Then try the update again.
If you have a Visio viewer installed, try uninstalling it, and then try the
update. If you need to re-install Visio viewer, download the latest version
rather than re-installing the old one.
