You haven't provided details of the operating system of the
computer that is able to access your bank's website. However, I
have assumed it is using Win XP with IE8 - or Vista with IE8.

I can't think of any logical reason why one computer would allow
access, but not the other. However, not all websites are
compatible with IE8. You could try playing around with the
compatibility settings in IE8.

Tools | Compatibility View has an immediate effect, and forces
IE8 to run in the previous mode.

Tools | Compatibility View Settings allows you to select websites
that always run in compatibility mode.

If that doesn't help, contact your bank.

bob, his FIRST WORDS were
"I have recently bought a new computer with Windows 7 & IE8."
and the only thing i can attribute my own ie8 issues to is ie8 and its
connections to the servers.
i hope someone finds an answer soon as win7 is fantastic and ie8 sems to not
be great.
i say connections to servers because i find ie8 has an issue with multiple
instances .
there are MANY ppl here who disagree, but everyone is entitled to his
opinion but everyone i have mentioned my problem to has been able to
"re-create" the problem on their computers whether its ie installed on
different versions of windows or win7 with ie "bundled".
personally i have ie8 set to use compatibility mode for all web sites and it
displays all the site i go to including my banking sites as they should.
maybe the mulitple instances issue will be corrected with ie9

Did you try this?
- - -
Try changing the User-Agent string.

Look for "Otherwise, run one of the following scripts and restart all
browser instances to see the change:" on this page
http://www.fiddlertool.com/ua.aspx

If you will be changing the User-Agent info often, you may want to install
the User-Agent Picker add-on. (Just above that section.)
- - -
Another possibility:
Create and run the script/bat file by OnyXxl in this thread:
http://social.answers.microsoft.com/...b-b69b8535a7bb

Hope this helps,
Don
