Before doing anything...please read Jonathan Kay's blog
- it contains some valid information on Windows Live 2009 applications(install, uninstall, msi files, supporting applications,
integration among applications)

http://messengergeek.spaces.live.com...DA1!1723.entry
The normal route to uninstall WLMsgr is through the o/s Control Panel
- Add-Remove(XP) or Programs and Features(Vista)
Select and Double click Windows Live Essentials
A dialog box will appear with an option to 'Uninstall or or more Windows Live Programs'
Click Continue
A dialog box will appear with the option to 'Select the programs you want to uninstall' and this note 'Only programs with a check
mark will be removed'
Put a check mark in Windows Live Messenger
Click Continue
Caution: WLMsgr and WLMail both use a supporting application called Windows Live Communications Platform which is integral to
access your Live Contacts(see Jonathan's blog for additional info)
