Uninstall it through uninstalling Live Essentials and you can do a custom
uninstall.

Hello Terry,

In "Program and Features", you would want to select "Windows Live
Essentials" then check Windows Live Messenger to uninstall.

I am trying to uninstall too. But I am in Remove program, and when i click
remove "Windows Live Essentials", nothing happens.
