Some people like Vista, some don't.
In my 40 years of computing, I have seen a lot of things come and go.
'Usually' newer is better.
This is the first time ever that my personal feeling about a new MS OS is
negative.
I have used Vista since early BETA and never have figured out how to like
it.
I can make it work, but even when it 'works as designed' I don't like it.

As far as being an expert; an EX is a has been, and a SPURT is just a drip

You're just like ringbastard and capin' crunch. You hate the fact that
anyone else is capable of properly installing, configuring and running
Vista, because you can't.
It's your problem, not mine and not Vista's.
Live with it and stop the childish whining!

Which must mean why Microsoft admitted there were 551 bugs in the
version of Vista they originally shipped to unsuspecting customers.

Damn Frank, FACTS nail fools like you every time.

Most all of them were either fixed or else users found work-arounds.
So what is your excuse?

So what is your excuse ringbastard?
Oh right, you're incompetent and it's all MS's fault.
Have bubba "drive' it home tonight. You'll feel much better.

They WEREN'T fixed when Vista was originally shipped showing YOU as
one of the claimed beta testers is obviously a clueless idiot. Over
500 mistakes. You didn't find one of them.

ROTFLMAO!

Actually, worse yet, even if you find and report them as an official
beta tester, MS ships customer releases without fixing them. Been
there, seen that in every release since Win95.

Rally? You don't seem to know anything at all about beta testing.
Many bugs are submitted, documented those that can be duplicated are
generally fixed as most were. Vista did not ship with any "show stoppers".
I have yet to get any first release software that was bug free.

Over
> 500 mistakes.

No, not mistakes. None of those bugs that shipped stopped Vista from
functioning.

You didn't find one of them.

hehehe...how do you know?
Well, you don't know which bugs I personally found, they're severity nor
if they were fixed or not.
I do know that all of the "show stoppers" I've ever found were obviously
fixed.
But you just can't accept the fact that Vista continues to improve and
is in fact, the very best OS available today.

ROTFLMAO!

You should really get up off the floor, unless you're too drunk to do
so...which is highly likely!...LOL!

I've been beta testing for over a decade with three major software
makers. I've found, submitted, documented literally hundred of bugs over
that

All software ships with known bugs.
I've been beta testing for over a decade with three major software
makers.
I've found, submitted & documented literally hundred of bugs over
that time period.
Only bugs that can be duplicated are considered and those that are show
stoppers obviously get the most attention.
Being able to consistently duplicate bugs is the most important factor
in beta testing especially given the fact that there are literally
hundreds of possible hardware/software combo out there.
One of the most difficult goals to achieve in writing a new software
release is maintaining as much backwards compatibility with previous
releases as is possible.
All in all, MS has done and continues to do a very good job considering
just how long Windows has been around.
Bitch all you want, but the fact is, Vista is the very best OS available
today.

Been there, done that. Not just for Microsoft, IBM also.

Face up to the sobering fact Microsoft doesn't give a crap how buggy
any version of Windows is. When some big shot decides it's time to
ship it, it gets shipped regardless how many bugs remain. The proof of
that is Window's legacy. Microsoft hasn't yet come close to shipping a
really ready product on it's initial release in it's twenty plus year
history.

Here's something else for you MS fanboys to chew on.

According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology a
United States Department of Commerce agency, conducted a study on
software. Their results were software "bugs" cost the US economy over
$59 billion annually. The conclusion is obvious. Companies like
Microsoft need to do a much better job testing their software before
it is released.

Meanwhile dopes like you say Vista is the best OS ever. The government
doesn't think so. The National Institute of Standards and Technology,
the Department of Transportation, Department of Defense, others have
banned Vista from being used on their networks. IT professionals don't
recommend their companies update. Experienced users wail against it
constantly. Surprise, Frank loves it.
